Doug went out and took these pictures this morning.

I just love the moon against that pretty blue sky!

It's 21  degrees out there in Hannibal, Mo this morning.

Day Time Moon December 15 at 7:42am

The moon was shining bright

when we went out the door this morning!

These pictures were taken

at 7:42am.

Before leaving for work

my husband took the time to

take these pictures for us.

I always like the daytime

pictures of the moon.

There is just something about

having the blue background

of the sky behind it.

Night time moons

are still my favorites ...

However ...

I find the blue sky

to be so relaxing

and sweet

to the soul.

Yes ...

I am a poet. 

I will have to do some

writing about our sweet Luna Delight.

December 13, 2016 Moon

It was a chilly evening here in Hannibal, Missouri!

Temp holding right at 20 degrees when these pictures were taken.

It seems like those crisp cold nights are when

the camera does some of its best work.

Thank goodness for the tripod ...

so the camera doesn't shake when we're shivering!

Lol

It was a beautiful, beautiful moon.

We weren't able to get moon rise pictures but I heard it was extra pretty as it came up on the horizon this time.   That it was very bright.

These pictures were taken by my husband Doug.

Thank you sweetheart for getting out to do it.

Luna Delight

Welcome to Luna Delight!

We purchased a new camera two years ago and one of the things that we discovered … quite by accident … was the ability to zoom in and focus on the moon. 

This is not a professional camera … just one we picked out at the store as the best camera we could afford at the time.  It’s a Nikon Coolpix L840. 

I have always been mesmerized by the moon.  It gives off such brilliant energy … uplifting … healing … stress relieving … wonderful energy.

I have been posting moon pictures that we have taken on various places on Facebook and have several people who will message me when it is a particularly good moon night to run out and take a picture to post. 

It always makes me smile when this happens. 

I love you guys!

I always end up taking several shots in various degrees of zoom and usually only post my favorite.  

So I thought … hey … why not have a moon blog?

So I did!

And here it is!

sometimes I may type a story to go with my pictures …

other times it will just be the pictures. 

These are the pictures that I took tonight. 

It’s cold here. 

24 degrees …

Burr!

But hey … it was a pretty moon so I stood still long enough to get it done.
